They are calling for at least 100, 000 signatures in support of ending extreme poverty.

Youth led development agency The Oaktree Foundation launched their national Roadtrip to End Poverty  on Saturday, marking the official journey for the group campaigning for the Australian government to keep their promise of reaching 0.7% foreign aid contribution by 2020.

The Roadtrip is the first in a series of campaigns set to ignite a passion to end extreme poverty, hoping to ignite a wide spread community passion for the cause.

We’re aiming to “create a huge sound movement for people who believe we can end poverty in our lifetime” said Sarah, Queensland State Director for the Oaktree Foundation.
